Mystery jigsaw puzzles--mystery stories which can only be solved by putting the jigsaw puzzle together for the solution--have been around since the 1930s. A Hallmark jigsaw puzzle from the 1970s contains a typical whodunit story with plenty of potential suspects. The printed story has a special "solution" page which is sealed closed at the factory. If a player cannot complete the puzzle, she or he may cheat and read the solution. But that isn't any fun!
