Comedian, radio, film, and television star Ed Wynn began his career in Vaudeville in 1903. He pioneered many comedic roles first in radio and later in movies and television. Late in life his son Keenan convinced him to take on dramatic roles rather than retire, and he is perhaps most famous now for his part as the lovable and laughing Uncle Albert in the 1964 Disney film "Mary Poppins." When he died in 1966 Walt Disney served as one of his pallbearerers. His "Fire Chief" character, developed for radio and film in the 1930s, made for a great Viking brand jigsaw series, during the 1930s craze for jigsaw puzzles.
