Two Eight-Panel Folding Screens in Korea and Australia
Jina Sasin Joseon Gukwang Alhyun-jido, an eight-panel folding screen housed at the National Library of Korea, had been in the possession of the Japanese Government-General of Korea during the Japanese colonial era. The painting style marked by the realistic depiction of characters and the use of vivid colors suggests that it was drawn by artists and royal painters of the late Joseon Dynasty. The screen describes envoys from many Asian countries who prepared various tributes, lending it a strong international flavor.
