John Jones (John Bromfield) document

Recto of a document issued by Valentine D. Barry, Judge of the 11th Circuit of the State of Tennessee, stating that John Jones, alias John Bromfield, is discharged from the service and custody of Richard Clere, a tailor. Jones had been indentured to Clere, but Clere hired him out, thereby forfeiting all right to his custody. Document written and signed by William H. Mitchell, Clerk. Notarized in Tennessee in 1842 and recorded in the Circuit Court of Madison County, Illinois in 1842.
