The man, who was buried together with his horse, had his weapons - knife, sword, lance and shield - in his grave with him.Particularly interesting are parts of equestrian equipment – snaffle bit, bridle and saddle. They identify the dead as a high-ranking Saxon cavalryman. Riding was a privilege to which only a few people were entitled.
