Karaori is the most luxurious type of robe, primarily used for a female role. In Noh dramas, Karaori incorporating the color red implies a young woman.
This robe has scattered patterns of fans and gold streams. They are woven into the fabric in alternating blocks in red, white and green colors. The fans are also decorated with chrysanthemums, waves and other designs. Though the pattern repeats, the variety of the color arrangement breaks the monotony and makes it a gorgeous costume.
