This kiddush cup is one of the few remaining ritual objects from the Börneplatz synagogue. Simon and Jenny Glauberg presented it to the Jewish community to commemorate the bar mitzvah of their son Berthold Baruch. Berthold Baruch Glauberg was deported to Auschwitz in 1943 and was later taken to Bergen-Belsen, where he was killed in spring 1945.
