The Klana mask is used for dance performances in Cirebon. As part of the Panji series of stories, the character of Klana is depicted as greedy and lustful. Klana is an antagonistic figure, the enemy of Panji. In the story, Klana has kidnapped Candra Kirana, the wife of Panji. The mask of Klana has a red face, bulging eyes and a toothy grin.
