The Oto-goze mask with full-cheeked face is usually used for a role of a young woman. However, this mask has furrows on the forehead even though it has black hair, and the eyes are carved out. It has quite a unique face, bearing some resemblance to Naki-ama symbolizing a wily old priestess.
