This tandi was built using a stone slab on the wall facing the entrance of the house. Crockery and utensils which were used on special occasions like festivals or when guests visited were kept here. Because of the height at which it was built, a khaat (charpoy) was used to climb on to reach the shelf when utensils had to be removed or placed back after washing.
