Castle of Clos Lucé

Castle of Clos Lucé
Amboise, France

Leonardo da Vinci spent a part of the last three years of his life in this 40m² room. He wrote his will in his bedroom on 23 April 1519, leaving his manuscripts and his notebooks. He died in the Renaissance bed on 2 May 1519.
In 2011, a great restitution project made shine again the original beauty of this 540-year-young room.
