A sun split in half by a thin base.
Its name is related to a practice from the many Mesoamerican people before the arriving of the Spanish conquistadors. It was war-ritual were the warriors earn glory, grades and prisoners.
Federico Silva was a self-taught artist, first painting then moving to the sculpture which is why he became better known. His sculptures take are based on the style of the pre- Hispanic era.
