La trama de oro takes part of the series Organicidad Metálica (Metallic organicity), related to a system of protection, defense, shield, of divine armor. I work with the idea of relief and symmetry; the sheet of paper becomes a shape and background looking for an integrating synthesis where the cuts look like weaves and a group of muscles on a body that comes to life as if it were a living organism. The treatment of paper alludes to the surgical dissection of elongated, fine, and ambiguous forms of the animal world, in dialogue with the equilibrium, the ornament and the human body. I think that I am creating headpieces with paper threads, working on the concept of weave and warp, aiming to reflect on the materiality and intersections between drawing, sculpture and textile work, based on the craftmanship. The monochrome palette, brilliant and industrial, as well as the lights and shadows, emulate the presence of iron, some sort of insinuated metal.
