This sumptuous representation of the Trinity, framed by a magnificent golden architecture, belonged to a processional banner. This explains the figurative richness and the traditional approach of its depiction. The artist, Girolamo da Santacroce, collaborated with Giovanni Bellini and worked steadily in Venice, both for important clients and for local religious groups.
