Horim Museum
Seoul, South Korea

This is a document box with a peculiar structure where there are drawers on the upper and lower parts, with an open space in between. The drawers are densely decorated with grapes, squirrels, various flowers and birds, and the lid with birds, peach and peonies with a landscape as background. Decorative patterns of fish can be seen on the sides. This document box seems to have been made as a women's furniture, judging by its graceful atmosphere and elaborate patterns.
