Ladderback arm chair

According to the Dixon family, this chair was "brought from Pennsylvania to North Carolina by Simon Dixon in 1751. It was later noted by the family that Lord Cornwallis used the chair when he stopped at their home in March 1781 as the British forces withdrew from Guilford County after the Battle of Guilford Courthouse."
