A. Selvaraj was a contemporary artist widely known and recognized for his paintings inspired by classical Indian dance. Born in Gudiyattam, Tamil Nadu, he was one of the first artists to move to Cholamandal Artists Village. The recipient of the Award of Progressive Painters' Association, he had participated in many national workshops.
