Aerial view of a Lagos street in the evening.
Lagos markets especially in the Lagos Island district often spill into their narrow streets. In the evening, these crowd is made up of pedestrians on their way home from work who take on the role of shoppers looking to pick up a thing a two from the multiple vendors lined up in front of the buildings and the street corners. The sheer number of stalls and passers-by means that there is hardly room for vehicular traffic.
