Landscape at Lower Ridge

Robert Organ lived at Lower Ridge, a farmhouse, close to the East Devon and Somerset border, for about 40 years. He worked on this canvas through the changing seasons from 1979 to 1986. The View is from a hill behind his house, which is visible, with smoking chimney, in the bottom right corner. His dogs are also in the foreground. The artist donated the painting to RAMM before leaving Lower Ridge for Cornwall in 2011.
