Landscape

Born in 1912, Artist M. Krishnan was an eminent writer, environmentalist, and pioneering wildlife photographer. M. Krishan mainly worked in oil on canvases, and his paintings were recognised for their empathy with the village folk presented before serene landscapes.

The subtle tonality in his paintings shows his sensitive application of colour and representation of nature in harmony with rural life. M. Krishnan passed away in 1996.
