Learning Experience

A multi piece sculpture in painted concrete by the South African artist Zak Taljaart (b.1978) titled Learning Experience. Short Biography: Zach Taljaard was born in 1978 and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a major in Sculpture at the University of Pretoria in 2000. Upon graduation, he took up the post of Sculpture teacher at the Johan Carinus Art Centre, where he taught Sculpture and Art history to students in grades 10-12. He later received his Post Graduate Certificate in Education in 2002. In 2007, Taljaard became the Head of the Exhibitions Department at the Albany Museum in Grahamstown, where he was involved in numerous national exhibitions and curated group shows. In 2011, he was appointed as the Curator of Johans Borman Fine Art in Cape Town.
