Meanwhile, in 1945, Ungno established ‘Dan-gu Art Academy’ with artists Jang-woo, Bae-ryum and Kim Young-ki, who returned to Seoul from Japan at that time, pursuing traditional Korean painting whereas breaking away from Japanese influences.
