Leprince-Ringuet, Félix Adrien Louis (X 1892 ; 1873-1958)

High school at Stanislas college. Winner of the General Competition. After leaving Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines (School of Mines) de Paris, he was a member of the territorial administration of mine inspection, successively in Alais, Amiens, Arras, Nancy and Paris. He is co-founder and first technical director of the School of Mines (Ecole des mines) de Nancy (1919). Mobilized in 1914 as artillery commander in Toul. In 1916, he was director of the Automotive Supply Center in Vincennes. He was a delegate to the Arbitral Commission of Morocco (1919), and was responsible for the evaluation of mining war damage (1920-1926). In 1936, he created the Mining Documentation Office, which he quickly transferred to Armand Galliot. Director of the Paris School of Mines (Mines Paris) (1936-1940).
