I have asked Hahn for an estimate. that the Trustees are most grateful for this important gift of work by the distinguished Brazilian painter. As you know, our Museum has already purchased in the past several years two large paintings and several drawings by Portinari. Meanwhile, following your instructions, Miss Courter the Director of Circulating Exhibitions, will arrange to have returned to the Embassy the other two panels.
