When a manja is not in use, it is kept in various ways to adapt to the space. It is commonly kept leaning against the wall, either resting on its baahi (longitudinal member) or serba (transverse member). Sometimes a number of manja are stacked one on top of the other as seen here. This arrangement saves floor space and also provides space for storage underneath.
