Light Curtain Plaza

In honor of the Americans who served, fought with heroism, and died in World War I, submitted here is a design that would be unique among the memorials. Not an obelisk, statue, or wall, this design's dominant feature is a curtain of light.Inspired by the stainless glass windows of European cathedrals, but in a 21st-century form, this curtain links transparent, colored panels into a fluid form that ascends to a flame like spire reaching into the Pennsylvania Avenue Streetscape.
