An exceptionally gifted human being of the Ice Age created a sublime „art object“ that was certainly not intended as such at the time. It was not until many thousand years later, when the Venus had seen the light of day a second time, that she was rated as „art“. For all its imperfection – faceless, without feet and with barely discernible hands – it has its own charisma, an aura that imparts to it a unique and very special attraction, not least because its origin is a secret forever hidden.
