London, United Kingdom

A colourful lithographic print of a selection of vegetables promotes the ‘One & All’ Wholesale Seed Warehouse at 92 Long Acre, just to the northwest of Covent Garden. The print reproduces the signature of its Managing Director, Edward Owen Greening, who was also renowned as a social reformer and supporter of the co-operative movement. He founded the Agricultural and Horticultural Association, alternatively  known as the ‘One & All’ in 1868. The company’s business was adversely affected by World War I and it closed in 1915. Greening died in 1923.
