Due to the shortage in raw material in the ghetto, old fabrics were torn to strips. At times, these were the clothes of victims who were sent to Chelmno, among them – deported inhabitants of Lodz ghetto. The photograph sequence depicts the procedure: the making of fabric strips, the fabric strip rolls, and the usage of those in the carpet workshop.
