Long Sword (Katana), signed Muramasa

The sword collection at the Tokugawa Art Museum with roughly 700 articles - including spears (yari), halberds (naginata), and other weapons- represents Japan's finest in term of quality and quantity. Eight of these pieces are designated National Treasures, nineteen are Important Cultural Properties, and twenty-three are Important Art Objects.
