The niche of the almari is made during the construction of the building itself. The shutters would be fitted on them later by a carpenter. This almari in the bedroom of the house was used to keep medicines. It had protruding edges which formed a shelf on its top. The shelf was used to keep a print of a Sikh guru and accessories used for worship.
