A variant of mace, gurj or gargaj, was used for an armour breaking and more specially for helmet crushing. This heavy weapon was also used for smashing the enemy inside his armour. Completely made of metal, it has a cylindrical rod fitted with steel spikes and it appears like an eight-petalled flower surmounted with a small spike.
