Madonna and Child in glory with saints Barbara and Ursula adored by the spinsters

Painted for the high altar of the church of Saint Barbara, the canvas is fundamental for the late 17th century sacred Ferrarese painting due to the synthesis between tradition, naturalism and affection, the latter evident in the portraits of the spinsters at the base of the composition.
