Madonna enthroned with woman worshipping (belonged to the Piscitelli family?)

Lombard sculptor (connected with Gagini?)1470s

This beautiful relief of the Madonna
Enthroned with Woman Worshipping is
still in search of an attribution and can be dated to the 1460s. It is thought that the sculptor may have
been connected with the Gagini family, sculptors from Ticino, also active in
Genoa and Sicily. There
are also doubts regarding the identification of the kneeling woman - on the
left there is a coat-of-arms similar to that of the Piscitelli family.
