This is a four-armed figure of Mahishasura Mardini standing with her left foot on a rectangular pedestal, and the right foot on the back of the buffalo demon. She has pierced the back of the buffalo with a trident and is holding the demon by the tuft of his hair. The asura holds a sword and a shield in his hands. Below at the right corner is lion, the vahana (mount) of the goddess.
