In the contemporary world, people are held back by all kinds of nameless powers, absurdities and realities. When the artist came across the long mirror on the third floor of the Eslite Bookshop, the words "Man in the Mirror" occurred to him, the title of a Michael Jackson song. One of the lyrics is, "If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and then make a change". In the context of all the turmoil in the world today, although in the face of the system the artist felt he was perhaps helpless and impotent to effect change, he still believes that change begins with the self, and can help to make the world better.
