24 pattern-woven strips joined selvedge to selvedge by whip stitching to create a larger cloth; warp arranged as dark blue stripes in a light blue ground in all strips; blocks of weft faced patterning-some selvedge to selvedge and some brocaded-planned to create a checkerboard-like pattern of alternating blocks when the strips are joined; five-unit groups of abutting patterned blacks are present at the top and bottom ends of each strip, forming borders along the top and bottom edges of the cloth; top and bottom edges have been turned and machine stitched to hem.
