This map, made in 1562 by Diego Gutierrez, shows the eastern coast of North, Central, and South America. It includes many of the lands explored during the Magellan-Elcano voyage. The map offers an illustrated view of America, with representations including the Patagonians, described by Antonio Pigafetta in his journal, and the Strait of Magellan.
