Mapoto / Marriage apron

A Ndebele front apron. It is distinguisehed by having two flaps in the front.It is a less formal Ndebele apron indicating the married status of a women. In the past, the beadwork aprons were worn everyday; however, these aprons are now reserved for important ceremonies such as initiations and funerals.
