Black and white postcard showing the auditorium at the Marlborough Theatre on Holloway Road in London. This theatre was built in 1903 by acclaimed theatre architect Frank Matcham, in the French style. The stalls, dress circle, upper circle and balcony (known as the “gods”) are visible, as well as the orchestra pit, boxes to stage right and part of the proscenium arch. Sadly, the theatre was demolished in 1962 to make way for an office block – known as Marlborough House.
