I was asked to create some silkscreen monoprints during the pandemic. For me, it was such an empowering experience because I had been home alone creating artwork at home, but to be able to come out to a public place where it was a safe and large building, so I felt comfortable being in contact with other people and creating the works of art. So I created four portraits of strong, beautiful, talented, empowering women. One of them is a portrait of Xochilt Flores who is a magnificent musician who I know since we were both very young and it's always been a pleasure of mine to create these portraits of these women who I find to be strong, intelligent, talented, and who give inspiration in our community, and great energy.
