Hand woven pile rug of variously sized 2-ply hand spun wool yarns; Tibetan looping technique (rather than knots) used in creating the pile; central medallion of yellow with dark blue center, on a red ground surrounded by concentric notched-cornered borders in dark blue, red and light blue, in a green square, this surrounded by a wider red band with blue meander pattern surrounded by narrow grey and dark blue bands; 6-7" wide red border of longer ( 7") pile/fringe around all four edges of the rug.
