Melbourne Cricket Club membership ticket, season 1939/40

Melbourne Cricket Club membership ticket from 1939/40 season. Rectangular ticket is mustard with gold detail impressed on the front. Features a double-lined border, the outer line corners are straight and the inner lined corners are rounded. The border contains a stylised Melbourne Cricket Club monogram on the left with art deco style line pattern coming out of the bottom and right side. Bold 'H' is located in the bottom right side with dates below it. Reverse side features a tan background with brown printed text and black ink. Reads, "......1939 / Issued to...... / C. W. Simmons (printed signature) HON. TREASURER. / V. S. Ransford (printed signature) SECRETARY. / No. H185". Outer edges read, "If this Ticket is used by any other person than the one to whom it is issued it will be forfeited. / Available till 31st August, 1940 / NOT TRANSFERABLE / SANDS & MCDOUGALL PTY. LTD., MELB".
