Members of the space shuttle Discovery's STS-124 crew inspect cables on Launch Pad 39A. From left are Mission Specialists Mike Fossum and Akihiko Hoshide, who represents the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. The crew is getting ready for launch at 5:02 p.m. on May 31. The STS-124 mission is the second of three flights launching components to complete the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory.
