Fish Market III. Main front

The Fish Market's main façade occupied a single horizontal-oriented floor, whose advanced central body was crowned by a triangular pediment that displayed the coat of arms of the city. The author of the design was the civil engineer Gustavo Adolfo Gonçalves e Souza, who was also responsible for the Stock Exchange Palace and current Rectory of the University of Porto buildings, all of them of a neoclassical nature.
