"Messy Flower" features a set of four vertical scrolls and tells a story about Leung's daily life. As an elegant and interesting composition juxtaposed with delightful doggerel, this work demonstrates the artist's strong sense of humour and imagination. Although the painting creates an ambience akin to that of a traditional Chinese painting, it has combined the use of Western media together with Chinese brushstrokes and ink to also convey an impression of contemporary vitality.
