Metamorphosis

In 2014, Nubuke Foundation held the first of the Young Ghanaian Artist Exhibitions with a selection of 15 graduates from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Kwame Asante Agyare makes large scale installations from empty food cans which he collects from high school dining halls, eateries and refuse sites. The cans are seen as objects of modernity and in certain cases, status symbols. He then then strings them together on a fishing line to form different vertical patterns that hang from heights.
