In Manuel Rivera’s “Mirrors” the space is generally divided up through the use of wires that support and create tension in the metallic cloth support. What is unusual in this example is the fact that the space is not divided from top to bottom: rather, the vectors spread outwards towards the sides. As a counterbalancing motif, the rectangle in the centre is divided so that verticality is strongly emphasised.
