A cross-section of the water-cooled cable (images 106 and 106_a.7.68) which was used for connecting the magnet units. The cooling water was circulated in the central copper tube which had a 16 mm bore and a 1 mm wall thickness ; the cross section of the standard conductor was 900 mm2 . The white core insulation and black cheath insulation were made from special radiation resistant polyethylene. The minimum bending radius of this cable is 600 mm. This type of cable was developed at the ISR.
