Decorative pieces such as figurines in Satsuma ware are called hinerimono. After the 20s of the Meiji period (1887-) the hinerimono created at the Chin Jukan Kiln were given natural, vivid, and life-like expressions depicting a moment in daily life or an instant movement of an animal.
